POP displays are not only good for retail business. They are good for just about any business. If you are looking to boost sales, push a certain product, have customers interact with your product, POP displays can be of great benefit to your company.
They are usually inexpensive, easy, and quick to set up. However, since these are relatively inexpensive to purchase, that is different than buying the cheapest one. You want your signage to last. Especially if it is not a temporary display and you want to be able to swap them every now and then when you need to switch things around. In addition, the better quality the POP display, the better the graphics and images will stand out.
After all, if you are going to go to the trouble of advertising and trying to increase your sales, you want those displays to look nice and show up well. It doesn’t have to be the most expensive thing out there, but it shouldn’t be the cheapest either, or this might not give you the best Return on Investment, and may also reflect on your business.
Think about what you wish to accomplish with your displays. Do you want to drive more sales? Push a product? Advertise a promotion or demonstration? Or advertise your brand image? Whatever your reason for wanting a display is, understanding your target audience is key.
What do they value? How can your product/s motivate them and or enhance their lifestyle? Even though you may want more traffic or to increase sales or exposure, you also care about your customers and want to make them happy or benefit them in some way right?. So, learn about them and find the answers to those questions to better cater to them and their wants and needs.
There are many different POP displays from end caps, floor shelf displays, hanging displays to tabletop displays, banner stands, dump bins, and numerous more options. POP displays can be temporary or permanent.
When thinking about designing your POP display or signage, have a professional help you or do it if you are not sure what to do. The design should be something that stops customers in their tracks and grabs their attention. A well-designed, quality made display will have bold graphics, images & color that pops, combined with key words and visually striking appeal. Make key points to what sets your product above the rest or what makes it different. You can tell a story with it also. If there is a story behind it or a meaning behind it, tell it. Appeal to customers’ emotions. Let them see who you are and what you are about. Be honest. Let them know you and get to know them.
Your display can be made to have personality and doesn’t have to be drab, in fact it shouldn’t be, it should make people want to stop and look at it and or buy it. You can even make it interactive, or with videos, and with that as well, it can drive customer engagement.
Most POP displays lead to impulse buys, something the customer did not come to the store to buy, so placing these in high traffic areas and or near checkouts or cash registers are prime areas and will be sure to catch customers’ attention. They should be placed at eye-level, and not too high or too low as this is what’s best for appeal and interaction. Put a call to action on it as well, and make your display blend in yet stand out.
